Mental health day treatment in Lincoln, California

For depression, anxiety, trauma, and mood that has stopped responding to an hour a week. Structured treatment during the day, your own bed at night.

Confidential. No obligation. We will tell you if we are not the right fit.

In crisis right now? If someone is in immediate danger call 911. For a mental health or suicidal crisis, call or text 988 — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, free, confidential and open 24 hours. We are an outpatient programme and are not a 24-hour crisis service.

Does any of this sound familiar?

If more than one of those lines landed, a conversation is worth it. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Levels of care

Two levels of mental health care, differing in how much of your week they take.

PHP · Most of the day, most weekdays

Mental Health Partial Hospitalization

Structured treatment most of the day, most weekdays — and you sleep in your own bed.

IOP · A few hours a day, several days a week

What actually happens when you call

The most common reason people put off calling is not knowing what they are agreeing to. So, plainly:

STEP 1

You call, and a person answers

Not a call centre reading a script. Someone asks what has been happening, what you have already tried, and what you want to be different.

STEP 2

We work out the right level of care

A clinical assessment decides whether PHP, IOP or weekly outpatient fits — or whether you need something we do not offer, in which case we will tell you that.

STEP 3

We check what your insurance covers

We contact your plan and come back to you with what we find, including your likely out-of-pocket cost. No guessing, and no surprise bill later.

STEP 4

You start

You get a schedule, a therapist, and a plan you helped write. Most people start within days rather than weeks.

Where we are, and who reaches us

Our programmes run at 821 Sterling Parkway, Lincoln, CA 95648, in Placer County. Because outpatient treatment means driving in and going home again, most people come from within about an hour:

Rocklin  ·  Roseville  ·  Auburn  ·  Loomis  ·  Penryn  ·  Newcastle  ·  Granite Bay  ·  Citrus Heights  ·  Folsom  ·  Antelope  ·  Sacramento  ·  Yuba City  ·  Marysville  ·  Grass Valley

If you are further out, call anyway. Part of our job is knowing who else is good, and where.

Questions people ask before they start

What is the difference between PHP, IOP and outpatient?

They differ in how many hours a week you attend. A partial hospitalization program runs most of the day, most weekdays. An intensive outpatient program is a few hours a day, several days a week, which is why it fits around a job. Outpatient is typically weekly. All three happen in the daytime and you go home afterwards — none of them involve staying overnight. Which one fits is a clinical decision, and working that out is the first thing we do with you.

Do you treat mental health and substance use together?

Yes. Depression, anxiety, trauma and substance use very often travel together, and treating one while ignoring the other is a common reason people end up back in treatment. Both are part of one plan here rather than two programmes you attend in turn.

Do I have to stop working?

Usually not at the IOP or outpatient level — groups are scheduled so most people can keep working or studying. A partial hospitalization program takes most of the day, so it generally does mean time away. We will be straight with you about that before you commit to anything.

Do I stay overnight?

No. Every programme we run is outpatient. You attend during the day and go home to sleep. If an assessment shows you need residential or medical detox first, we will tell you and help you find it.

Will my insurance cover treatment?

Most behavioral health plans cover outpatient treatment at some level, but what you actually pay depends on your specific plan, your deductible, and where you are in the plan year. Call us and we will check your benefits and tell you what we find — including when the honest answer is that we are not the right financial fit for you. Checking costs nothing and does not commit you to anything.

Where are you, and who do you serve?

We are at 821 Sterling Parkway in Lincoln, California, in Placer County. People reach us from across the Placer and Sacramento area, including Rocklin, Roseville, Auburn, Granite Bay, Loomis, Folsom, Citrus Heights and Sacramento.

Not sure which one you need?

That is what the first conversation is for. We will work it out with you.
