About us
A new outpatient programme in Lincoln, built by people who think the gap between weekly therapy and residential treatment is where most people get lost.
Confidential. No obligation. We will tell you if we are not the right fit.
Treatment is delivered by people, so it seems reasonable to tell you who they are and let you email them.
Paolo leads the clinical programme — what treatment looks like day to day, how the groups run, and how someone moves between levels of care. He co-founded Placer Recovery to build the kind of outpatient programme he thought the area was missing: structured enough to hold someone steady, without asking them to disappear from their own life for a month.
Allen handles the side of treatment nobody wants to think about and everybody has to: what it costs, what insurance will actually pay, and what a person owes at the end. He co-founded Placer Recovery on the view that a straight answer about money is part of good care, not separate from it.
Joseph has spent his career in recovery housing and behavioral health. He founded Empower Next Project, a Sacramento-based non-profit, and built Sober Living Companion, software now used by sober living operators across the country to run their homes. He also runs a nationwide directory of recovery residences and started a peer-support warmline for people who need to talk to someone but are not in crisis. He handles referrals and partnerships here.
We are an outpatient programme. Everything happens during the day and you go home afterwards. We do not have beds, we are not a detox, and we are not a 24-hour crisis service.
What we do is the middle of the ladder — the levels of care that let someone get real treatment without leaving their life behind, and the step-down that stops progress unravelling the week after residential ends.
We are a new programme. Our application with the California Department of Health Care Services is in progress, and we will publish our certification details here the moment they are issued. We would rather say that plainly than imply something that is not yet true.
Our programmes run at 821 Sterling Parkway, Lincoln, CA 95648, in Placer County. Because outpatient treatment means driving in and going home again, most people come from within about an hour:
Rocklin · Roseville · Auburn · Loomis · Penryn · Newcastle · Granite Bay · Citrus Heights · Folsom · Antelope · Sacramento · Yuba City · Marysville · Grass Valley
If you are further out, call anyway. Part of our job is knowing who else is good, and where.
We will tell you what we think, whether or not it involves us.
